Leonard Anderson engaged architect. The building permit for the house is dated 1940. The address is 902 Morris Avenue.
15 May 1940
While under construction, the house is vandalized with creosote, one of three houses hit that evening. All three houses were being built by James Grover Anderson (wife Hattie Rose Summerfield). This house was being built for his son, Leonard Edward Anderson.
1941
Leonard and Harriet Anderson are living in the house.
April and May 1941
Trial of three union members accused of vandalizing the house.
1942
Herbert Bryan Wilson and his wife Vera Patricia Southern are living in the house. Since the Biltmore tube is addressed to Wilson at 902 Morris, it was addressed between 1941 and about 1950 or 51. About 1950, the numbering system on the streets changed in Modesto. The house was renumbered to 1018 Morris.
