The only building in the photograph that is recognizable today is the Kress Store, built in 1931. The building remains, but Kress closed in 1974. This block of 10^th Street and the blocks around it were the commercial center of Modesto from the 1870s to the 1970s.

El único edificio de la fotografía que todavía se reconoce hoy es la tienda Kress, construida en 1931. El edificio permanece, pero Kress cerró en 1974. Esta cuadra de la calle 10 y las cuadras a su alrededor fueron el centro comercial de Modesto desde la década de 1870 hasta la década de 1970.
