Modesto: A Celebration of Art Deco
On
Sunday, 17 September 2006, from 3:30 to 8 pm, the Modesto Film Society, the
Anderson Gallery, and the Modesto Art Museum present a one day celebration of
art deco style. See an exhibition of art deco objects including clocks, vases,
sculptures, radios, and furniture. Attend a screening of the 1934 hit film Thin Man in the recently renovated art
deco State Theatre. You are encouraged to come dressed in your finest fashions
from the 1920s and 1930s.
